Cushman Photo Archive Mapping Project

Introduction

Welcome to the Cushman Photo Archive Mapping Project. For my midterm, I created an ArcGIS map adaptation of the data found within the Cushman Photo data set. The project focuses on the photos taken in 1940 and aims to offer information about each photo taken in a condensed fashion while showcasing the popularity of photos in certain areas of the country indicating the kinds of photography the original artist, Charles W. Cushman, was interested in displaying. I was interested in exploring the geographic locations of each photographs and the general regions he interacted with in his work. The project included data cleaning, filtering, and consolidation to create a final product that allows users an interactive experience in looking at the work of Cushman.
